My work investigates the dynamic interplay of color through the use of oil paint, oil bars, wax, and conte crayons, intentionally building texture to highlight chromatic resonance. Rather than replicating objects or nature, I concentrate on achieving unity, order, and disorder within the spatial relationships in my compositions. The depicted forms transcend conventional everyday grounding, allowing landscapes to develop distinctive character, reminiscent of vignettes. This approach offers insight into my experiences as a painter and reflects my engagement with the broader world.
